Pilates isn’t the latest buzz in the fitness industry. In fact, it is a form of exercise developed by Joseph Pilates that existed since the 60’s

Pilates is a safe mind-body exercise that uses a variety of equipment. It is safe for everyone to do from children to seniors. By practicing Pilates, you can achieve a number of health benefits. A few being:

At LifeChanging studio, our instructors follow Pilates Academy International methods.  They describe their program as contemporary, similar to other modern styles but with influence from the field of sports medicine and exercise management. Their courses also have the added benefit of creating instructors who leave their program confident as well as competent instead of just being a new trainee instructor

PAI believes a great Pilates instructor must have these three essential skills:

  • A solid understanding of anatomy, biomechanics and postural issues;
  • A strong command of the exercise repertoire including modifications for varying levels of fitness;
  • The ability to motivate and inspire clients
